During the Community Prayer in our last worship service together, I shared the news that I am pregnant again. Today, I am five weeks and four days pregnant, to be more specific.
You may be thinking, “That’s awfully early to be telling us.”
The last time I was pregnant, my wife and I stuck to the conventional practice of waiting until after the first trimester to share the news. Then we lost the pregnancy at seven weeks and invited our community to grieve with us. People learned of the pregnancy through the news of the loss - never getting to share in the joy of it.
