A Message from our Seminary Intern, LeAundra: Who's the Fairest?

📷

Hello all! I'd like to share a thought that I had with you all today!

Here goes...

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? I remember reading that phrase in the story of Snow White as a young child. The old witch in the story would ask that question and the mirror would answer back..."You are, you are the fairest if them all".  This one question can cause a multitude of issues.

The function of a mirror seems to be simple enough, right? You look into it and it tells you if you're having a bad hair day, if your clothes are fitting properly, or if your shoes match your outfit. The mirror can tell you so many things about how you look. Again, that is the job of a mirror! Where the problem comes in is when we allow the mirror to tell us WHO or WHAT we are. So many people rely on the power of the mirror to validate them.

I have often had this issue myself. I allowed the mirror to dictate not only how I saw myself, but how others saw me as well. I allowed the mirror to tell me who I was on the inside.

How many times have you allowed the mirror to tell you who you are? How many days were made or broken for you because of what the mirror said?

Well...no more! It's time to stop ASKING the mirror who you are, and start TELLING the mirror who you are! Take away the power of the mirror, and start believing what God says about you. Go ahead! Repeat after me! "Mirror, mirror on the wall, I AM...!!!'

I will be worshiping with my home church this Sunday, but I am looking forward to seeing you all in a couple of weeks. Be blessed!
