Dear Congregation and Friends, Reminder: You are not a problem to be solved. You are a person, a body, that needs love, nourishment, and support. You may have made a mistake, but you are not a mistake. I am reminding you of this because it is so easy for our inner monologue about ourselves to get negative. It can be easy to confuse a negative emotion with feeling like we are a bad person. This email is your invitation to notice the difference - to separate the emotions you have from how you feel about yourself. I invite you into a space of compassion and unconditional love toward yourself. A space where all of your emotions are recognized, validated, and felt. Break the cycles of judgement and negative self talk in response to your own emotions. Cultivate cycles of compassion and self love in response to your emotions. The first step? Take a deeeeeeeeeeep breath. See you Sunday, Amy
